What To Expect During Class
In a typical MY strength class, you’ll begin by grounding yourself and taking a few moments to prepare your body for what’s ahead. Held in a heated room at 90°, the class moves through three main sections: activation, strength, and release.
Grounding & Activation – You’ll start by connecting breath with movement through a series of yoga poses, waking up key parts of the body like your core, shoulders, and hips. This section sets the tone, warming up your muscles and mind for what’s to come.
Strength – This is where the work happens. After you flow, you'll challenge yourself with three separate rounds strength-focused moves, utilizing exercises like squats and lunges with optional weights to intensify the challenge. These full-body exercises are designed to build muscle, improve endurance, and challenge your stability—all while staying mentally engaged. The heat, the music, and the energy of the room will push you through, even when your muscles start to shake.
Release & Savasana – After pushing your limits, you’ll transition into static stretches, allowing your body to recover and your mind to relax. This is your time to settle back into stillness—a chance to absorb the work you’ve done and leave feeling refreshed, centered, and stronger.
