MY strength is an intense experience that pushes students to get stronger both on and off their mats. We warm up the body with an intentional yoga sequence, then shift to strength-based exercises utilizing heavy weights for a fixed duration or number of reps. We finish by stretching out what we worked and cooling down before a mindful moment of stillness in Savasana. In this class, we up the ante on physicality and continue to integrate traditional yogic principles to show students their own personal power.
In this weekend program, you will learn how to safely guide students through strength-based exercises and complimentary yoga poses to create an adaptable, all-in-one yoga fitness experience. The course includes a MY strength training manual, sample classes, guide creating a personal playlist, anatomy overview, ample opportunity to practice teach, and more.
Previous fitness or yoga experience or certification required. Christy Percival is an E-RYT 500 certified yoga instructor and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider. This training provides 15 contact hours of continuing education, as required by Yoga Alliance.
