"It’s a great privilege to not know where you’ll end up, just where you’re headed. It’s the only way to get there.”
—Brianna West
Sam is a New York native and Duke alum with 4+ years of experience teaching indoor cycling. She started practicing yoga during the pandemic to move her body in new ways and find peace in uncertainty. There was something meditative and inquisitive about yoga that reminded her of spin. Both forms of movement mean something. Both demonstrate that everyone deserves to experience how good their mind and body were created to feel. To further explore this connection, she completed her 200-HR RYT at Y7 Studio in NYC—and left with a revived perspective that now informs every part of her life. After returning to Durham post-grad, she found a safe space at Midtown Durham and is grateful for the opportunity to share her practice with the MY community.
