Teaches at MY Richmond

"The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away."

—PABLO PICASSO

Kennedy was born and raised in Amherst, VA, in a 100+ year-old log cabin nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains where she developed a deep-rooted connection to nature and a strong sense of stewardship for the Earth. She grew up singing and playing guitar and piano, using music as a way to express herself and process the world. That same sense of creativity and curiosity led her to yoga at 16, where she found a practice that brought her back to her breath, body, and sense of self. She studied Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech and now designs large-scale solar farms.

After moving to Richmond, she discovered Midtown Yoga and immediately felt at home in its welcoming community and there completed her CYT-200. As a teacher, Kennedy hopes to encourage students to challenge themselves, trust their instincts, and move with intention. When she’s not on her mat, you’ll find Kennedy chasing adventure—whether making music, snowboarding, kayaking, camping, dancing at concerts, or traveling the world.
