"We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give."
—Sir Winston Churchill
Kathryn moved from Long Island, NY, to Durham, NC, in 2021, to begin her first job after college with Duke Pediatric Neuropsychology. She was seeking new experiences and a deeper sense of community. Although she practiced yoga in her undergraduate years, it became her passion after moving to the triangle. Since then, yoga has allowed her to build connections and discover a profound sense of inner peace and strength. To deepen her practice, Kathryn completed her 200- hour yoga teacher training at Midtown. Throughout her training, she became determined to share what she learned with others. Additionally, she learned how to better help her patients cope through pranayama and other yoga techniques. In her classes, Kathryn strives to hold a safe space for students of all levels to cultivate mindfulness, self-love, and find both gratitude and balance in their lives through the practice of yoga. When Kathryn is not at the studio, you will probably find her doing something outside. She enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, gardening, and binging reality TV shows.
