"Sure, Why Not?!"
—My Grandmother
Julia’s big brother introduced her to yoga while she was studying painting at VCU. Now she teaches at local studios, outdoor community classes, and nonprofits around Richmond. Central to Julia’s teaching style is the physiology of the yoga asanas. By paying close attention to her students and offering specific alignment cues, she hopes to help practitioners stay present in their bodies. Julia finds great joy in witnessing this connection with self that happens on the yoga mat, as well as the connections yoga fosters throughout communities.
In addition to immersing herself in the Richmond yoga scene, Julia loves playing with her cattledog, Hansa, and dancing her socks off at shows around town. She gets SO excited when she sees fellow yogis out and about!
