Teaches at MY Richmond

“Our feelings are our most genuine paths to knowledge”

—Audre Lorde

Heather first discovered yoga while recovering from an injury in high school. The practice immediately resonated with her, reflecting many of the Eastern philosophies she was raised with and inspiring an appreciation for the balance of yin and yang. Over the years, yoga has become a source of grounding, growth, and joy.

After moving to Richmond in 2024, Heather took her first heated yoga class and was instantly hooked. She quickly found a home at Midtown Yoga, where she completed her 200-hour teacher training. Heather is passionate about helping students experience the same joy she has found through yoga, creating an inclusive and supportive environment where each practice can be adapted to meet individual needs. Her classes encourage students to explore movement with curiosity, confidence, and self-compassion.

Outside the studio, Heather enjoys trying new restaurants, cooking, crafting, gardening, and spending time with her cat, Pajeon.

Hidden Talent

Cooking & Baking! I am really good at identifying flavors in dishes and can bake really fluffy bread.

Song I put on for Inspiration

Depending on my mood either: About You by The 1975 (specifically Carly Holt’s bridge) or Kids by MGMT

Go-To Coffee Order

Surfin’ in a hurricane from Reviresco (iykyk). Anywhere else it’s either a matcha latte with almond milk or any coffee that is borderline disgustingly sweet.
