"But let us not take ourselves too seriously. None of us has a monopoly of wisdom and we must always be ready to listen and respect other points of view."
—Queen Elizabeth II
Growing up, I was a gymnast and a cheerleader and have been a non-competitive gymnastics coach for over 17 years. I first tried yoga in my teens and initially hated it. I had no connection to the instructor, the practice or myself for that matter. Years later, I tried a HOT yoga class and was instantly hooked. I found myself eager to learn about the different styles of yoga, the history, and thus began my individual practice. I am RYT-200 hr certified and completed my training right here in Raleigh. The program focused on vinyasa and Hot 26 postures. My favorite thing about being a yoga instructor is the variety of variations available to students in each and every posture. No matter how you’re feeling or what your body is craving, there is something available and accessible to everyone and for me, that’s the definition of yoga! In my free time, I enjoy wine tasting, eating Mexican food and spending time with my husband Richard and our rescue beagles, Bengie & Frankie!
