“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."
—Carl Rogers
Annie practiced yoga intermittently since her first class at age thirteen, but it was not until years later that she became convinced of yoga’s magic. She initially returned to yoga for chronic pain relief but quickly became a regular practitioner for its holistic health benefits. She completed her 200-hour teacher training in 2023 and is currently enrolled in their 300-hour training. Annie’s affinity for the older yoga community drives her aspiration to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Health Psychology and develop mindfulness-based interventions for older adults with chronic illnesses. Ultimately, her goal in sharing the gift of yoga is to create an environment of inclusivity and acceptance that encourages others to embrace self-compassion.
