"Let me keep my distance, always, from those who think they have the answers. Let me keep company always with those who say "Look!" and laugh in astonishment, and bow their heads."
-Mary Oliver
Abby grew up in upstate New York and has always been drawn to activities that kept her moving. Her passion for athletics led her to the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she competed as a Division I athlete and studied Kinesiology. Her experience as a student-athlete shaped how she approaches training and sparked a deeper interest in the role strength and movement play in long-term health. After graduating from UMass, Abby moved to Durham to begin the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Duke University, where she is learning to integrate her background in fitness with rehabilitation and performance.
Strength training has always been one of Abby’s favorite ways to challenge both her body and mind. She loves creating workouts that are both challenging and accessible and is excited to help students build strength, confidence, and an appreciation for what their bodies are capable of. Outside the studio and class, she loves spending time with her friends, staying active outdoors, catching up with her family back home, and exploring coffee shops in the area.
